Off the bike
There are tons of other ways to help the team. If you want to volunteer and help with any other activities, there’s no need to sign up as a GCA coach. Simply sign up to be a volunteer and we’ll get you plugged in.
Leadership team
We have a great team of coaches ready to help your kids to have the best experience possible. They all have a passion for the joy that biking can bring and want to share that passion with others.
Rachel
Rachel has been mountain biking for 10 years and you can find her most weekends riding with her family and friends in the North Georgia mountains.
Rachel has been a coach for the Sequoyah Cycling team for 3 years and was previously Program Lead/mentor for the Little Bellas Woodstock program.
Her passion is getting more kids on bikes and helping riders build confidence, meet new friends, achieve goals, and most importantly – have fun!!
Elicia
Elicia is a veteran mountain biker of 31 years. She has participated in the occasional mountain bike race but her true passion is riding the amazing single track in and around the Southeast USA with her family and friends.
Elicia has been a coach with the Georgia Cycling Association for 5 seasons. She has been involved as a parent, Coach and the Director for Sequoyah Cycling for the 3rd Season. Her son joined GCA/(NICA) with the Blankets Creek Composite team in 2017, and so began the Stewart family’s journey with GCA.
Elicia enjoys riding with the student riders and watching the amazing growth each rider experiences in a season. Her motto is have fun, enjoy the ride, work to achieve “your” goals and every once in a while our rides include a stop for ice cream 🍨.
SKIP
Skip has been racing on and off since 2000 and coaching since 2014.
